English 288 - Spring, 2015
Prospectus Workshop
Class Information
Instructor:
Waters, Claire
Time:
W 12:40-2:30
Location:
308 Voorhies
Description
This workshop, as the name suggests, is designed for those who have completed their preliminary exams and are working on or working toward a prospectus. We will discuss and share work at all stages of this process: developing a topic; refining it toward a workable project; developing a sense of the relevant critical conversations; situating the project and clarifying its contribution; establishing an archive; finding and working with a committee. Both those well embarked on this process and those just beginning are welcome.
Grading
Grading will be based on attendance and participation at class meetings, completion of weekly work outside of class, and a draft of the prospectus as a final submission.
