I graduated from UC Davis  in 2007, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Environmental Planning and Policy. Following this, I attended the UC Davis School of Law from 2008 to 2011. During this time, I completed legal internships with the environmental non-profit organizations Defenders of Wildlife and Environmental Defense Fund. Following my admission to the California Bar, I was hired for an associate attorney position by the law firm Remy Moose Manley, LLP.

My practice at Remy Moose Manley has focused on land use and California Environmental Quality Act issues. My experience includes extensive work representing the San Mateo Community College District at both the appellate level and before the California Supreme Court.

My education at UC Davis provided a critical foundation for a career practicing environmental law. Skillful and persuasive writing is essential to the practice of law, and the English department at UC Davis hosts professors who challenge their students to become better writers. At the same time, the department fosters a sense of community among and between the students and professors.

This open-door policy provides English students with the opportunity to further refine their writing skills based on personalized feedback from the instructors. In addition, the structure of the English program at UC Davis allows for the exploration of other interests. Without this flexibility, I would not have discovered the Environmental Science and Policy Department. In addition, the writing skills learned in my English classes comlemented my environmental classes well. From my experience with these two departments, I was prepared well for law school, legal internships, and my current career practicing environmental law.
