Ryan's second novel, Green Island, is out this month from Alfred A. Knopf. She recently had an interview in the New York Times about it, and it was just listed as one of Amazon's Top Picks for Best Books of February. She is currently am an assistant professor of Creative Writing at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
