Description
This course welcomes both majors and non-majors. It fulfills a General Education Arts and Humanities requirement for topical breadth and for Core Literacies a requirement in ACGH and in Writing Experience. For English majors it fulfills a distribution requirement for literature written in English between 1900 and the present.
Grading
In-class exercises and participation: 10%
Four blogs posted in response to key concepts and issues: 20% (5% each)
Two short papers (4-5 pgs), including rough draft, peer review and final version for each one: 25% each
Take home final essay: 20%
