Description
TOPIC: Queer Theory, Trans Theory, Literature
This course will examine queer and trans theory, with an eye to their applicability to the study of literature. We will examine what queerness and transness have to with race, labor, time, and the State. We will discuss pleasure, the body, and structures of queer/trans feelings. We will also discuss how to work with queer and trans theory when interpreting older texts.
