Description
In this course we will read texts from a variety of genres, periods, and places, all of which take up the question of what it means to be free. Through short writing exercises and sustained attention to revision of an essay, you will work through the process of turning your ideas into sophisticated expository prose. By the time you finish this course, you should be a more sophisticated reader and a more confident and skilled writer.
