What is your favorite memory at UC Davis?

What are you up to now, personally or professionally?

I am now an attorney advocate for the Judicial Council of California. After graduating from UC Davis with

my English degree, I lived in Japan for a year, then worked as a legal secretary at a Sacramento law firm for a couple of years. I then relocated to the Bay Area for law school, only to return the Sacramento area after graduation to take a fellowship position through the Sacramento State Capital Fellows Program at the Judicial Council. After my fellowship,

I was an in-house attorney for the California Department of Resources Recycling Recovery for about seven years. I recently had, and seized, the opportunity to return to the Judicial Council where I advocate in the Legislature and with the Governor's Office for the California courts system. All of these steps in my career have one thing in common: the need for excellent reading comprehension and writing skills. I credit the education I received as an English major at UC Davis for laying the necessary foundation for honing those skills.
