Fellowships and Financial Aid

Fellowships

A limited number of Non-resident Tuition Fee Fellowships are awarded to competitive new students who are not residents of California.
 

Assistantships

Teaching Assistants hold half-time (50%) appointments and teach three sections of English literature/composition per year. The salary is payable in nine monthly installments beginning November 1. Graduate Student Researcher's hold half-time appointments to support faculty research projects at a salary to be determined. The minimum grade-point average required for all Assistants is 3.0 on the 4.0 scale.
 

Financial Aid

Financial aid through loans, grants or work-study employment is administered solely through the Financial Aid Office, Dutton Hall, University of California, Davis, CA 95616.

Graduate students who are US citizens, permanent residents or immigrants are required to file a "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA), or a renewal, as early as possible.  The on-line application can be obtained at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
