Amanda Kong

Amanda Kong graduated from CSULA with her BA, MA, and a strong focus on ninetenth-century U.S. Literature. Her dissertation examines a multi-ethnic periodical press in the late nineteenth century in the U.S. with particular attention to the way race is constructed for Black, Latinx, and Chinese audiences. Her research interests include periodicals, history of the book, critical race theory, print culture, labor, and transnationalism.
