Kai Wilson
Kai Wilson is a writer and chef in Los Angeles. She grew up in Berkeley, CA and earned her B.A. in English and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Wesleyan University. While at Wesleyan, she also completed a Thesis in Creative Writing and helped to form a student-run publishing collective where she published a book of essays titled, today I am allergic to tangerines, and it’s true I am relieved. She has been working in kitchens and fine dining restaurants since she graduated in 2016. She also leads writers’ workshops in Los Angeles with writer and collaborator Julia Hannafin and the help of community art spaces such as Beyond Baroque, Thyme Arts, Skylight bookstore, Stories Cafe, and small galleries around the city. She is working on an autofiction project.
