Student Profile Series: Graciela Cardona
The UC English Department presents Graciela Cardona (she/her/hers) for the Student Profile Series! Graciela is an English (Literature, Criticism, and Theory emphasis) and Design Double Major.
What is your favorite memory at UC Davis?
My favorite memory at UC Davis is the many days I would grab an iced coffee before class during spring quarter. I always enjoyed my time on campus and looked forward to attending lectures with such great professors.
What are you passionate about?
I am really passionate about experiencing life in every possible way. I think it is really important to enjoy the fresh air or the warm sun and the different colors of life. I am also passionate about getting better at graphic design and intertwining that with fashion.
If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be?
The title of my book would be called, "The Color of My Life".
What makes you proud to be an English major?
What makes me proud to be an English major is my growth as a writer that happened because of the amazing professors and their dedication at UC Davis.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself as a publication designer for a fashion magazine or a graphic designer or even a video produceer in the producer fashion world.

What do you like to do in your free time to unwind?
I love taking a walk every day and feeling the warmth of the sun.

ENL 189 (Seminar focused on climate change fiction), ENL 156 (short story), and ENL 149 (London Fiction).
If you had one wish for the English Department/Community here on campus... what would it be?
My one wish would be to be back in the classroom with amazing professors and intelligent writers.
